Where trade has flowed for five thousand years
Baghdad sits on the Tigris, in the heart of Mesopotamia - the cradle of organised exchange. Caravans, merchants and craftsmen have moved goods through this land long before there were nations to mark their borders.
The modern Fair stands in that tradition. Sixty years of editions, dozens of countries every year, and one shared idea: that this is the place where the region's commerce gathers.

Baghdad International Fair is organised by the State Company for Iraqi Fairs and Commercial Services under the Iraqi Ministry of Trade - and has run continuously, in one form or another, for sixty years.
